In October of 2007 I weighed 225 lbs with a goal to lose 40 lbs in 15 weeks. I counted calories and exercised like a madman. After 20 weeks I had only lost 29 lbs, which sounds great but for the effort and minimal return over the last several weeks, I was spent. On May 31, 2015 I weighed even more @ 233.5 lbs. This time I fell for the Isagenix hoopla and bought in. I lost 32.5 lbs over 11 weeks. Again, not bad but not sustainable. The last three weeks of that diet I only lost 2.5 lbs. Do you remember my comment about exercising like a madman? Well, I went full lunatic regarding workouts and even logged over 35,000 steps (yep, thousand) in one day. I was once again spent and extremely frustrated. I had logged over 290,000 steps and covered in excess of 139 miles with only 2.5 lbs lost to show for it. I had tried the Atkins diet years earlier with marginal success so when I heard about the Keto diet, I noticed some similarities though I later learned just how different the Keto diet was from the 'New Diet Revolution." On November 28, 2020 I clocked in at a whopping 250 lbs, due in no small part to Thanksgiving. It was the most I had ever weighed. I dug deeply into the why and wherewithal of the Keto diet using YouTube and finally settling on your, Thomas DeLauer's, and Dr. Becky's channels. I quickly outgrew Dr. Becky but appreciated your and Thomas's willingness to explain the physiological details behind it all. Armed with information I set off to make a difference in my life beginning December 1, 2020 with not only Keto on the agenda, but "clean" or "healthy" Keto with absolutely no cheating. The goal was not only to lose fat/weight, but to become fat-adapted. My first target was 50 lbs and that seemingly impossible number below 200. I used Carb Manager to methodically track everything I ate, an Apple watch to log my physical activities, and the Withings scale, thermometer, and blood pressure cuff along with the Keto Doc blood meter to track my vitals, each and every day until I broke 200, then changing to weekly monitoring. Every week we logged measurements in the app "Progress." In 12 weeks I lost 50lbs and was finally under the 200 number. I set another goal of 10 lbs, then another. So far I have lost a total of 67.3 lbs and as of this writing weigh 182.7 lbs with my sites set on 170. Actual averaged daily macros during this diet include: Net Carbs 14.3g (3.63%), Protein 73.7g (18.66%), and Fat at 136.4g (77.72%). BHB stays solidly between 1.5 and 3mmol with occasional dips if I've consumed any alcohol, though recovery is quick. Besides the weight/fat loss, I no longer suffer from Acid Reflux, the persistent cough is gone (had it for over six months), my blood pressure isn't high and is perpetually in the "green" range, I have way more energy, less joint and back pain, less bloating and gas, improved cognitive abilities, significantly improved endurance, and I have not been sick even once since starting this endeavor. The highlight of my week was having to purchase 36w Slim Fit jeans. Thanks for the great videos and keep them coming!

I am 46 y/o. I have hypothyroidism and premature ovarian failure. I started in July 2020. As I learned I would incorporate more into my diet. Including IF and I worked on increasing fasting time. I worked on picking up quality ingredients. Then I added ACV and nutritional yeast. I am down 63#. Currently at 5'6" and 143#. I have found that my acne, skin tags, ganglion cyst, plantar fasciitis and a recurrent dry skin patch have all gone away. I find that I am not very hungry anymore. No cravings. I have to make myself eat for the nutritional value. I still have some fat on by abdomen and upper arms. But I am very happy with my journey. People I work with come to me regularly for information, wanting to start their journey too.

In early December as I sat around because of the China Virus getting fatter day by day, I decided enough is enough. I would like to thank my wonderful wife for all her support which helped ons. Her payment for helping was a weight loss of 20 pounds. I feel fantastic.

I had no idea that I was obese, it came on over the last couple of years. I was weighing in at 237,, 5'10", until I saw myself in the before picture. In fact when this picture was taken I thought I looked good. And then with the isolation with Covid, I put on a few more pounds and notice that my clothes were a bit to snug. I accidentally came across this picture again, and realized at that moment that I looked and felt terrible. Bloated, and still grazing on carbs and eating around the clock. I found Dr. Bergs postings enlightening and informative. I started Intermittent Fasting in Mid january: 8:16,, 3 meals for a few weeks, and then continue to watch the postings Adding Keto around March, and tightened it up IL 4:20, 2 meals until recently I started OMAD alt with 2 meals in 4 hours. I currently weigh 188 and feel terrific. Let me just say I am 65 years old. I feel healthy and invigorated.. I have about 10-15 pounds to go, I do aerobic 45 min every morning.. thanks Dr. Berg

Hi, my name is Lisa. I am also known as LisaLisaD1 on YouTube. I was having severe digestive issues, IBS, and weight gain and I believe that my issues were all related to the onset of early menopause. I saw my doctor multiple times and also a gastroenterologist, but they did not offers any real relief. I started researching my condition and that eventually lead me to the Keto Diet. I still have an intolerance to veggies, but I hope once my digestive system heals I will be able to slowly add them back into my diet. I had been a diabetic for a decade. A bad case of tingling and numbing in the legs. High cholesterol. High blood pressure. On meds for a decade. Started my journey reluctantly in 2019. Followed dr berg way before that. Just couldn’t start. Reversed all the bad diseases. On zero meds. Lost 112 lbs in a year. Doing the dr berg course now. Want to help all the others like me. Stayed with the program. No cheat Daysi dedicated and worked hard. Happy to say I’ve never been happier in my life. Thank you Dr. Berg

Started keto in 2019 and did a complete 180 in my kitchen. I got rid of everything non-keto and put everything 100% keto. Lost 50 pounds and still losing. Thankful for Dr. Bergs's supplements! Was on 6 meds now down to 1 and the supplements have helped me so much!! Thank you, Dr. Berg.

In the 6th grade, my weight was 60kg, the fattest kid in the class. Fast forward to 2018, I was still struggling with obesity @130kg peak level and it took me 24 months to drop to 115kg [254lb]. Then one day came across videos from Dr. Berg thanks to YouTube recommendations and I get to know about intermittent fasting with keto diet. With excellent guidelines of his, I FINALLY got the answer to, WHY EXACTLY I WAS CRAVING FOOD ALL THE TIME WHILE FEELING SLUGGISH and which foods are really good for you and which ones prevents you from getting healthy. The first 2 weeks were difficult because of carb withdrawal and the new regime of diet and intermittent fasting. Watching and learning about the science behind it made the adaptation phase very easy. As he recommends, first is to get healthy and losing weight is just the side effect(benefit), in order to get there certainly dieting is 85%+15% is exercise. So I mostly focused on the diet part because of the lockdown. And I succeeded at it while dropping 30kg [67lb] within 8months. Again it's just a look back, if you combine intermittent fasting with keto diet then the fear for crash n burn that might first come up in the head will never come up as things get easy, with lots of spare time and energy to focus on. Dr Berg is truly the Knowledge Doctor and I'm really grateful for his expertise and kind sharing. I'm looking forward to this new lifestyle for the rest of my life, all thanks to him.
