A BLT was always Karen's favorite type of sandwich growing up, well, maybe second to peanut butter and pickle. Of course, bread is not a healthy choice and is not keto-friendly. But, if you're like Karen, and you love a good BLT, there is a way you can still have one!
These keto avocado BLT wraps are super tasty, and they make the perfect alternative to a traditional BLT with bread. With these wraps, we use lettuce instead of bread, and they are just as delicious and a lot healthier. This is a very simple and light keto recipe that we think your whole family will love.
There are no measurements in this recipe because we want to give you the freedom to make as many as you’d like! We have found that for each wrap, a few slices of meat and one or two slices of avocado is best, due to the size of the leaf. You can adjust the quantities of ingredients to your personal preference.
Salt and pepper
Iceberg or romaine lettuce
Slice the tomatoes thinly and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Slice the avocado thinly..
Take a leaf from the lettuce head and layer tomatoes, bacon slices, avocado slices, and a dollop of mayonnaise on it.
Fold in the sides of the lettuce leaf (if iceberg) and roll up. Do not wrap up if using romaine lettuce.
