Why Does the Body Make 3,000mg of Cholesterol Daily?
Your Body Creates Cholesterol—It Has to
I have a question for you. Why does the body make 3,000 milligrams of cholesterol a day if it is such a bad thing?
Well, the answer is that cholesterol isn’t really a bad thing. The liver makes 2,000 milligrams a day of cholesterol and the rest of the cells make 1,000 mgs. a day. If it’s so bad, why does your body create so much?
Ask your doctor. They should know, and if they don’t, you need a new doctor. See, cholesterol has an important purpose in our bodies.
The purpose of cholesterol is to
Make the important stress hormones, like adrenaline, cortisol, norepinephrine, which we need badly from our adrenal glands
Help you make vitamin D
Help regulate bile for digesting fats
Aid in the workings of the nervous system
Fuel the brain
Create the lining of our cells.
So, 3,000 mg of cholesterol is equivalent to a pound of butter, or 300 strips of bacon, or 14 eggs. WOW, right?
What happens when you cut your cholesterol down is your body just makes more. Vice versa, If you eat more your body makes less.
Right now my cholesterol is at about 150-160 and I do 3-4 eggs a day, bacon, and I do grass-fed organic butter.
I’m not saying you have to eat like that, but my point is here that you can handle fat in the diet. In fact, it helps give you sustained energy, curbs the appetite, and helps you to eat only two meals a day to reduce insulin resistance and lose weight.
See, what really what causes the bad cholesterol . . . is the refined carbohydrates and sugars in your diet.
I’m not saying fruits or vegetables will do it, I’m talking about the simple sugars and refined carbs from crackers, to packaged foods, to bagels, pasta, bread, muffins, not to mention sweet treats like Little Debbie’s, doughnuts, Ho Ho’s, etcetera.
If you didn’t know, that is a fact.
If you’re having a problem with high cholesterol, bad cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides, it is coming from too much sugar in your diet.
I promise you, if you would cut out all of the refined carbs bread, pasta, cereal, for just one week, you’ll see your cholesterol go I down nicely. I also recommend taking Wheatgrass Juice powder, one teaspoon of this powerful super nutrient is equivalent to 6-10 shots of wheatgrass juice.
