Sadikk Shaikh's Story

Bored with his lifestyle, and too young to be on the blood pressure medication his doctor had just prescribed, Sadikk Shaikh decided to change the way he was eating.  While he was looking around the internet for diet plans, Shaikh came across Dr. Berg’s YouTube site; on the videos there he learned some major lessons about his health.

“I learnt that medicine is sick care and food is health care,” he explained. “And that we can survive without carbohydrates.”

Shaikh said that trusting Dr. Berg and following his plan was not hard after learning to control cravings. “Keto and intermittent fasting is a life-changing game,” he said, and advised, “Don’t give up for cheat meals and pleasure eating.”

With the support of his wife, Shaikh tries to eat as much organic food as possible. Before keto his weight-loss attempt consisted of eating lots of fruits and some carbs with a calorie deficit. He said he feels much better after trading all that fruit for 10 cups of vegetables a day and lots of leafy greens. “I learned how fruits cause spikes in Fat Storing Hormone. I should’ve started with keto.”

He’s amazed at where he is today: Shaikh now feels relaxed and happy, and he’s 110 pounds (50 kg) lighter after only ten months.

He no longer is taking the blood pressure medication, either. Shaikh saw real results which helped to keep him motivated. “I sleep well now, am happier, and am active,” he says. “I’m still on intermittent fasting and follow a keto diet.”
