One More Try


After many attempts to lose weight mainly trying calorie counting and intermittent fasting, I stumbled on some of Dr. Berg's videos and learned so much. I was finally able to be successful. I am currently coming up on a total loss of 20 lbs. Dr. Berg truly helped me understand the science behind IF and how to make it work. Other diets would have short-term positive effects, but a stretch of bad days or weeks, and I was right back. Calorie counting was just not sustainable. I had IF completely wrong the first time I tried it. I just didn't understand the insulin piece and the fat storage that was going on.

Now, I eat the right foods on a 16/8 IF and feel so much better. Less bloated after my two meals, and even on the odd cheat day. I have pushed to 20 hours for the added benefits as Dr. Berg describes. I am eating far fewer carbs, very little added sugars, and I am not craving those bad foods after about 2 months of this diet. When I do have something with sugar now, it makes me feel awful. I will even get a stomach ache on occasion.

There's no turning back. It takes some will power, but the changes are positive and I feel really good these days as I just turned 51. I went ahead into my second half of life healthy and energetic.
