  Now, at the end of 2021, I have maintained that weight (while also putting on a decent amount of muscle), and haven't left the 170s range for nearly a year. 

Story

Dr. Berg, this is a long overdue thank you that I have been meaning to send you for quite a while.

When I first started corresponding with you a few years ago, I had hit a personal state of unhappiness about my weight and general fitness. 

 

To give you a bit more context, all of my life through my teens and 20s, I had always been active and stayed in decent shape (without paying too much attention to my diet).  I am 5'10", and though my weight fluctuated at various times, I never strayed outside of the 170s to 180s lbs range for many many years.

 

Shortly before I turned 30, I was working a job where I was mainly sitting at a desk all day, and also where I was consuming much more carbs and sugars than I had had previously.  By the time you and I were in touch in 2018, I was now in my early 30s and weighed nearly 230 lbs (to be totally honest, I stopped weighing myself after I hit 228 lbs because I couldn't confront how far gone I was, so I don't actually know what my highest peak was).

 

It took me another year before I actually got serious about doing Keto and Intermittent fasting (mid-2019).  So by 2020, after disciplining myself on my diet and exercise (based on all of your advice and the information you put out), I was back down to nearly 170 lbs.  Now, at the end of 2021, I have maintained that weight (while also putting on a decent amount of muscle), and haven't left the 170s range for nearly a year.  People who knew me in my "big boy days" and who haven't seen me for a while, often don't recognize at first that I'm the same person when they see me now.

 

So even though in my estimation, I most definitely still have quite a journey left to attain my ideal state of health and physique, I just wanted to let you know about the amazing results thus far, and thank you for everything you have done to assist with this.  My wife and I still refer to your YouTube content on a weekly basis to answer questions we have or get new tips on things we can do to improve our health.  So thank you thank you thank you once again.
