Life before keto:
Valerie was prompted to start her weight-loss journey as a gift to her husband when they began to work on their marriage. With the addition of encouragement from her sister and the information she has learned from Dr. Berg, keto has given Valerie a “new life.”
For over ten years, Valerie was morbidly obese. She was overweight for many more years. She thought she just couldn’t lose the weight.
It was from Dr. Berg that she would learn how to do healthy keto, what intermittent fasting was, and what foods to eat and supplements to take that would work for her particular body type.
Discovering keto:
Valerie found Dr. Berg’s videos by looking up keto on the Internet. She and her sister used Dr. Berg’s app to share the things they learned every day. “Listening to him kept me learning and working the program,” she said.
The hardest part of keto, for Valerie, was finding all the hidden sugars that were “sabotaging” her. On the other hand, seeing the results and losing the weight kept her motivated. Soon she was buying new clothes in a smaller size.

Since starting keto, Valerie has lost 102 pounds (46 kg). “I feel much healthier and more confident,” she said. “I feel beautiful again.”

“Treadmill or stationary bike at home because it is easy to make a part of my daily routine,” said Valerie. “But the most fun is enjoying fishing with my husband.”
