In March I heard Dr. Berg's famous words of wisdom: Don't lose weight to get healthy; instead get healthy to lose weight. In 7 months I have lost 110 pounds with * Keto * 18/6 intermittent fasting * Zero exercise. AND I never felt hungry! Honest. I take Dr. Berg's Electrolyte Powder and the D3/K2 capsule. My health markers have improved since March. * Age: 70 * Weight: from 336 to 226 (in 7 months) * Goal: 186 by Christmas - I want to get rid of the internal fat surrounding my organs. 20-Day Average blood pressure * sys: 113.9 * dia: 69.2 * pulse: 70.2 20-Day Average blood glucose and ketones * Glucose: 95.70 mg/dl * Ketone: 2.76 mmol/L * GK index: 2.04 Weekly Summary * 63,376 steps * 56 total floors * 28.57 miles * 504 active zone minutes * 7 long walks * 63 bpm - Resting Heart Beat With all that weight gone, my wife got me a Fitbit watch. I started walking last month. I've reached my goal of 8,400 steps per day. That is split over 9 hourly walks. Why 9 per day? To get me away from my computer and keep moving all day for the sunlight, oxygen, and fresh air while walking along a forested peaceful back-road (stress-free) in central Maine. Downside: Sleep! My average weekly sleep only 4 hours 38 minutes. I'll quickly fall asleep for 2 hours, then wake up for 1 to 3 hours of sheer boredom, and fall asleep again for a couple more hours. I religiously follow the sleep advice. Dark cool room, sleep mask, meditation, deep breathing, hydrate during the day with zero water after 6pm, aerobic exercise until 6pm, no coffee after morning cup, zero alcohol, zero melatonin supplement. Possible cause: Prostatectomy 10 years ago - causes frequent urination during the night. I never noticed my sleep deprivation until I got my Fitbit watch.
