Broke my back about a year and a half ago when I tried to start exercising again. Weight totally got away from me. At 6 feet tall I weighed 265 pounds. For the first time in my life I was buying XXL shirts and a size 40 belt. Got back into the gym about 4 or 5 moths ago and saw slow results for two months, dropping 5 pounds. Took a week vacation and two weeks off from the gym and gained it back. Started intermittent fasting on a 16/8 protocol a little over two months ago. Down 27 pounds, almost three full notches on my belt. Energy is way up. Sleep better at night. Never tired during the day. Mentally much more focused and productive at work. Have naturally gone into a 20/4 protocol because I am not hungry enough to eat 16/8 anymore. Gym sessions have gone to 4-5 days combination of CrossFit, resistance training, and HIIT. I can’t see going back to my old lifestyle and I am on my way to my goal of getting under 200 pounds for the first time since college.
