Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus spears woody ends removed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh black pepper cracked
  • cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F / 220 degrees C. Lightly grease baking sheet with nonstick cooking oil spray.
  • Arrange 1 pound asparagus spears on baking sheet. Set aside.

  • In small bowl mix together 3 tablespoons olive oil, 4 garlic cloves, ¾ teaspoon kosher salt and ¼ teaspoon fresh black pepperr. Drizzle oil mixture over asparagus and toss to evenly coat.

  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until just beginning to get tender.
  • Remove from oven and top with 1¼ cup mozzarella cheese. Return to oven and broil (or grill) until cheese melts and becomes golden, about 4 to 5 minutes.
