  6. Add cinnamon mixture to nuts, then blend until fully combined.

  7. Pour nuts onto prepared baking sheet and spread out evenly.

  9. Let nuts cool and break any clusters apart to prevent clumping.

Recipe tips:

  • For added flavor, include vanilla extract or other spices, such as nutmeg, allspice, or ginger.

  • For the best results, use raw pecans in this recipe. If you opt for roasted pecans, simply shorten the baking time by five minutes.

  • To achieve a more caramelized coating, you can use unsalted butter or coconut oil in place of the egg white, if preferred.

  • You can also use Swerve brown sugar substitute instead of erythritol to achieve a look and consistency similar to traditional candied pecans.

Why you’ll love Easy Keto Candied Pecans

If you're looking for the best Keto Candied Pecans, this recipe is a must-try as it offers a perfect balance of flavor, impressive nutritional value, and versatile uses.

Whether enjoyed at a holiday gathering or shared on a cozy night, these candied nuts deliver irresistible sweetness while keeping you in ketosis.

They’re also gluten-free, thanks to simple wheat-free ingredients, including egg whites and cinnamon.

Plus, this Candied Pecan recipe won’t cause blood sugar spikes. Instead of brown sugar, this keto-friendly version is sweetened with erythritol, a low-calorie alternative with little impact on glucose and insulin levels.

"Unlike traditional sugars, erythritol isn’t metabolized, which means it doesn’t raise blood sugar, which helps keep insulin levels steady," explains Dr. Berg.

Pecans, the star of the show, provide heart-healthy fats and antioxidants, making them an excellent addition for those following a nutritious low-carb diet such as Healthy Keto®.

Research published in The Journal of Nutrition found that consuming pecans can positively impact fasting and post-meal blood lipid levels in adults at risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD).

When possible, choose shelled, fair-trade, and organic nuts, as non-organic varieties may contain pesticides detrimental to your health and the environment.

What’s more, you can easily customize this sugar-free Candied Pecans recipe with extra cinnamon for warmth, a pinch of cayenne for a spicy kick, or a dash of allspice for a cozy, aromatic twist.

You can also experiment with other nuts, including almonds or walnuts, or try sunflower seeds, which are a great option for those with nut allergies.

These decadent morsels make an excellent topping for salads, smoothies, yogurt, and No-Churn Ice Cream or can be mixed into your favorite keto trail mix for a convenient on-the-go treat.
