Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F / 176 degrees C.
- Bake 3 ounces bacon for 25 to 30 minutes. Save the bacon fat.3 ounces bacon
- Chop ½ onion.½ onion
- In a large sauce pot, add at least 2 to 3 tablespoons bacon fat and chopped onions. Cook on low for 10 minutes.
- Add 10 cups collard greens and 1 cup chicken broth. Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.10 cups collard greens, 1 cup chicken broth
- While greens are cooking, chop the bacon.
- Add 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and 1 pinch salt. Add about two thirds of bacon to greens and use remaining bacon as garnish.2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 1 pinch salt
