How did you discover keto? 

I used to call myself a vegan, but here’s the truth: I wasn’t eating plants; I was eating poison disguised as food.  

I started researching online and found a man named Bobby Parrish on YouTube. Then, I found Dr. Berg and Shawn Baker. When I saw Shawn Baker, I realized he was as old as my father, yet incredibly healthy and strong. I thought everything I knew about health and nutrition was wrong. I had nothing to lose, and I had a very weak immune system. I did not want to die, and I decided to try it.  

What did your diet look like before adopting keto? 

My plate was filled with frozen pizza, seed oils and margarine, sugar, sweets, and chemical-loaded junk every single day. I ate whatever was the cheapest at the store.  

Every game morning, I ate Turkish simit, containing flour, sugar, seed oils. My father’s advice? “Eat sugar and bread for energy.” My family warned me: “Red meat causes cancer. Avoid butter and eggs.” So, for 32 years, I lived on: seed oils & junk food. Sugar & Turkish delights. Grains and processed everything, I was always sick. Depression and anxiety had haunted me since childhood. 

I had zero knowledge about real nutrition. Zero. I thought “vegan” automatically meant healthy. I was so wrong. 

I didn’t realize I was slowly destroying my body–one processed meal at a time. And let me tell you… This ignorance was going to cost me dearly. The vegan mistake almost cost me everything. 

Did you have any problems with your weight or health before going on keto? 

As a former vegan, I was a semi-pro soccer player for eight years. But at 19, my body gave up. I had constant injuries and I didn’t know why. By 30, my body collapsed; Weak vision, kidney stones, serious heart problems, loss of teeth, Type 1 diabetes, eczema & skin disorders, hair loss, joint and back pain.  

My weight hit 220 poundsAugust 2022 was my rock bottom. Then I found the ketogenic carnivore diet. 

How has your health improved since you started keto? 

In 6 months, I lost over 60 pounds.  

All my health problems went away. My mental health recovered in a year. My body became stronger again. I was finally alive. They told me meat would kill me, but avoiding it almost did. Now, I have started a war against the fake foods and Big Pharma that controlled my life for 32 years.  

And now, I am winning every day with the carnivore/keto diet. 

Honestly? My body has never felt better. I have all-day energy; I’m active from sunrise to sunset. I do task after task and crush my to-do list without crashing. I have crystal-clear focus, no brain fog, and no afternoon slumps. 

How does a typical day of eating/fasting look for you on the keto diet? 

I’ve been a carnivore for three years now. I only ate meat, eggs, butter, cheese, and dairy. 

And for the past year, I’ve taken it further: One Meal a Day (OMAD). 

Why do I eat this way? Because it’s what my body was designed for. For 2 million years, our ancestors didn’t snack, they didn’t eat breakfast, they hunted, they moved, they thrived, and when they succeeded, they feasted. Around the fire, at dusk, together. I’m not following a trend; I’m just going home. Back to my ancestors’ routine. Back to what works. 

Does exercise play a role in your success on keto? If so, how? 

Let’s be real: exercise is important. I’ll never say it isn’t, but here’s the hard truth most people don’t want to hear: If you keep eating the wrong foods, your workouts will never save you. You can run for miles, lift heavy, sweat daily, but if your fuel is garbage–seed oils, sugar, or processed junk–your body will still break down. 

That’s why we must get one thing right first: The proper human diet.  

For me, that’s keto. But really? It’s whatever your ancestors ate. Real food, whole food, animal food. Eat like them, and you’ll live like them: Strong, sharp, healthy, and medicine-free.  

If you could offer advice to someone starting keto, what would you say? 

Stop over-exercising while having a bad diet. Fix the plate first. 

I think this might be the best decision you’ve ever made in your life.

Steak and eggs.
