I know there is conflicting information about what diet should men (or women) be on. Should we base on our teeth structure?
Should we be herbivores (plant eaters), carnivores (meat eaters), or omnivores (mixed)?
I think the best evidence to figure out what we generally need is to observe our digestive tract. The pH in the stomachs of animals who eat plants is only between 5.7-7.
The pH of our stomachs is between 1-3. This is a huge gap and our stomachs are equiped to consume some hard core animal protein. I am very flexible with what you eat as long as at the end of the day, your body gets the nutrients it needs.
I believe in the combination of animal and plant, but if you are in doubt, simply consume a plant-based diet for 1 week and then compare this to a meat-based diet in the next and then a combination in the 3rd week.
