Side Effects of Gallbladder Surgery

Do You Need Your Gallbladder?

A lot of times, people have been told it’s an extra organ, and you don’t need it. Honestly, it’s probably one of the most important organs for long-term health. Of course, you need your heart and your liver but the gallbladder helps you absorb all the healthy fats.

Do you realize that your brain is made of fat? All your nerves are made from fat. All the cells have a fat layer. The bile that is produced by the gallbladder – actually it’s stored by the gallbladder – is produced by the liver – helps you break down and utilize:

  • Vitamin A: night vision, skin, immune system, sinus

  • Vitamin D: powerful calcium regulator

  • Vitamin E: heart muscle oxygenator

  • Vitamin K2: calcium transportation to prevent heart problems

Symptoms That Occur When the Gallbladder Is Removed

So if you don’t have a gallbladder, these are some of the side effects that can occur:

1. Poor night vision – a vitamin A deficiency

2. Acne – This is a vitamin A deficiency. Even if you take vitamin A, it doesn’t get absorbed so you’ll show deficiencies.

3. Dry skin

4. Soft tissue calcifications – This can show up in cataracts, calcium building up in arteries (could be stroke or heart attacks, high blood pressure), tartar on your teeth, kidney stones, arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, heel spurs, bunions, soft tissue calcifications in the breast – a lot of different things because you don’t have vitamin D and vitamin K to transport the calcium, and even osteoporosis.

5. Low vitamin D levels which can affect your mood, depression, and immune system

6. Bloating, because bile helps you digest (your food). Constipation results because you don’t have anything to lubricate the colon.

7. Right shoulder pain because it can refer up to the right side

8. Pain. I did a whole video on pain. You can watch it to find out how to get rid of that.

Yes, you do need a gallbladder. If you don’t have a gallbladder, it can create side effects. I have a product called Gallbladder Formula. It has a number of things in it – purified bile salts, slippery elm bark to lubricate the colon, Spanish black radish, and stone root to dissolve stones. There are a lot of different factors to replace what’s missing.

You just take one with breakfast or one with each meal depending on how many problems that you have, and to help you support what’s missing.

I just want to enlighten you on the gallbladder because a lot of times, they don’t tell you this until after they remove it... like all the long-term effects. And you really want to watch the fat-soluble vitamins for deficiencies that could be created like a year or two years later.
