The philosophy that people go by is, “If I just work harder I will burn off these calories. If I be more energetic the weight will just come off.”
What happens when you exercise you release hormones that are triggered 14 to 48 hours later while you in are deep sleep.
There is a delayed effect of fat burning – it’s not during a workout. If you weigh yourself after exercise you will not see a difference on the scale even if you burn 500 calories but, if you weight yourself right after you awake from sleep you will see pounds lost.
In adrenal body types have:
A buffalo back.
Legs get thinner because the body is stripping off muscle protein from the thigh muscle first. Getting up and climbing is a little difficult.
Big stomach due to the adrenal gland taking muscle protein from the thigh and then puts it in the belly.
Injuries stack up such as tailbone injury, knee injury and mono or tonsils removal. A person may start to wear down the adrenals by the time you hit your 30’s, 40’s or 50’s.
You will have a high cortisol level and then you are wondering why your fat is accumulating in your mid-section. When you have old injuries from when you were younger, it sort of becomes reactivated as stiffness or pain.
Other things become reactivated too like mono. Mono is a virus that you get in your tonsils. Mono becomes activated as the cortisol level goes down. The symptom that mono will create later in life is fatigue for no reason.
If you have rheumatoid arthritis you need more than 400 mg of potassium because the adrenals are so tired that they are dumping potassium all day long.
I have is a test to see if you are getting your basic nutrients and tells you what foods to focus on. So far no one has a perfect score.
You go to the doctor and get a blood test, he says you are healthy and wants you to come back in 6 months. You have to be almost dead for anything to show up on the blood.
So, this test (Dietary Nutrient Assessment) measures what’s going on in the body instead which will prevent something come up down the road. I like to prevent things because it is a lot easier.
With the adrenal, calcium does not go in the muscle or the bone so it will show up as bone loss. These muscles are the point where you will have a lot of tightness.
Where Does this Calcium go?
It shows up as:
- Cataracts in the eye
- Joints as tendonitis
- Heel spurs
- Twitching of the left eye lid
- Calcium stones
Adrenal loses collagen just like the thyroid so you will see your skin get a little thin.
Adrenal body types crave chocolate and salty foods such as nuts, chips, crackers and pretzels.
You will also see ring around the ankles after an adrenal body type takes their socks off at night, that is fluid retention.
Then there is the ovary body type. The weight is in a pouch bellow the belly button or a saddle bag which means weight in the hips and thighs.
This body type will have ovarian issues, menstrual problems and hot flashes.
Ovary body type crave creamy things like milk products:
- Ice cream
- Cream cheese
