How did you discover keto?
I heard about the ketogenic diet in July 2016 and began studying it. Upon in-depth research, I decided to give it a go in September — and I have been keto ever since.
How does an average day of eating/fasting look for you on keto?
From June 2016 to September 2016, I cleaned up my diet by cutting out junk food, avoiding overeating, and quitting alcohol.
My training and dieting have been entirely self-directed, with guidance from Dr. Berg’s videos and other great resources such as Primal Edge Health.
How has your health improved since you started keto?
- June 1, 2016 — 255 lbs, 30-40% body fat
- May 1, 2017 — 200 lbs, 9-11% body fat
If you could offer advice to someone starting keto, what would you say?
I work in a supplement store where we sell products to support general health, bodybuilders, and athletes. I understand the potential risks of bodybuilding competitions and how they can stress the body. But I want to inspire people and help prove that it’s possible to better yourself when you truly commit — not just for bodybuilding, but for general health.
Any other details you want to share?
I am looking to enter a bodybuilding competition on June 10, 2017. I am all natural, with no synthetic steroid use. It’s all ketogenic and daily training.
