How to Prevent a Fatty Liver as You Lose Weight

First, I want to read to you a reference from this bible on medical physiology titled, "The Textbook of Medical Physiology" (Guyton & Hall), which states
The Effect of Lack of Fat Storing Hormone on Causing a Fatty Liver
"Strange as it may seem, though the lack of Fat Storing Hormone causes dissolution (the breaking down) of the fat stored in adipose tissue, it causes a great increase in the amount of stored triglycerides in the liver, leading to a very fatty liver."
Wow! What does that mean? That means when you lower your Fat Storing Hormone and you start burning a lot of fat, you would be at risk of developing a fatty liver because all that fat would be dumped throughout the body.
So there are two things I want to talk about today. They both address how to prevent this condition as you lose weight.
So, if you know my eating program, you know the goal of this eating plan is to get Fat Storing Hormone way down there through avoiding sugar, avoiding eating so many meals and snacking, and preventing the release of Fat Storing Hormone.
Lowering Fat Storing Hormone causes fat cells to dissolve, then fat goes into the blood and is shuttled to the liver.
There are two things you can do to avoid this from happening.
1. You HAVE to, there's no way around it, to keep more vegetables in your diet.
That's why I recommend - minimally - every single day - 7 to 10 cups of vegetables. Notice that the Atkins and other diets don't even recommend vegetables. What's going to happen is that you'll end up with a fatty liver.
WE NEED the vegetables to clean that liver and to oppose all the fats that are coming out of us.
- So, yes, you must eat vegetables. Not the sugar-loaded corn, but those green leafy vegetables. Not vegetables from powders. You can do a kale shake, but you need your vegetables.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)
ACV is really good for the liver, to dissolve fats in the liver, and to prevent that fatty liver.
Other Ways to Prevent a Fatty Liver
3. You can also take choline to prevent a fatty liver.
And guess what food has the highest amount of choline? Egg yolks.
4. Lecithin also dissolves a fatty liver.
And guess what is the highest in lecithin content? Egg yolks.
So egg yolks are very good for you to consume while you're on a low-sugar, low-carb, low Fat Storing Hormone-spiking type of diet.
So we want vegetables, egg yolks, and definitely want apple cider vinegar – 2 tablespoons in a glass of water every day.
How do you know if you have a fatty liver?
If your belly is big, you have a fatty liver.
You CAN reverse a fatty liver, and we'll talk about that next time!
