How did you discover keto?
Research. I tried the vegan diet and had good results for inflammation but had no energy. I had found and started keto when my father recommended Dr. Berg.
What did your diet look like prior to adopting keto?
Carbs.
Did you have any problems with your weight or health before going on keto?
Psoriatic arthritis, blood sugar spikes, and neuropathy. I was 220 lbs. At 5’9”, which was too much weight for my joint issues. I had no energy. I would wake up to make food and go back to sleep to get enough energy to make food again.
How has your health improved since you started keto?
I now have amazing energy, appetite suppression, and get better sleep. I can feel my fat shrinking. In 2.5 months on keto I’ve gone from 220 lbs. to 190 lbs. My goal is to get to 180 lbs.
How does an average day of eating/fasting look for you on keto?
I usually fast for 12-16 hours (9 pm-2 pm fast) and have 2 meals and occasionally a snack. I follow the keto diet and drink water with lemon juice.
Does exercise play a role in your success on keto? If so, how?
Active.
If you could offer advice to someone starting keto, what would you say?
Just try it for 2 days, and you’ll be hooked. If you have tried a lot of things, Dr. Berg is very smart and has a lot of great information. Following his information is really effective.
