My weight was climbing slowly eating 3 meals a day and having sweet treats daily
Did you have any problems with your weight or health before going on keto?
Yes, I’m 5’1´´ and weighed up 184 lbs before coming across the intermittent fasting videos
How has your health improved since you started keto?
I went from 184 lbs to 170 lbs doing the 16/8 intermittent fasting and cutting down on sweets but eventually hit a plateau which made me want try the 18/6 fasting. Lost more weight then hit another plateau. I’ve been finally doing a 22/2 and really focused on eating healthier. I’m now at 160 Lbs but need to get to my goal
How does an average day of eating/fasting look like for you on keto?
At 11am I eat 2 eggs, 2 crack wheat bread slices with butter, and coffee with half n half and teaspoon coconut sugar. At 1pm I eat a small bowl of ground beef with spinach and avocado. Sometimes homemade yogurt with berries or small slice of cream cheese pie
Does exercise play a role in your success on keto? If so, how?
50 reps of leg lift each leg, 100 reps ab roller
If you could offer advice to someone starting keto, what would you say?
Eggs and beef are a great source of protein and intermittent fasting should be included
What is your favorite keto recipe from Dr. Berg ?
The best thing I tried was making my own yogurt. I even bought the yogurt maker he used. I’m looking forward to trying the bread he made with his wife Karen. I’m from PR and bread is in my veins. Love bread with butter but I need to make better choice in it 🙂
Any other details you want to share?
I’ve been subscribed to Dr Berg’s YouTube videos and I must say it changed my life! I must have shared dozens of his videos to my family, especially my older sister who BTW recently scared the whole family with a diverticulitis emergency’s surgery that prompted me to fly to PR to take care of her after procedure. Thank God she didn’t need a colostomy bag, but it was even more so a wake up call for us all. I’ve been continuing to share Dr Berg’s videos.
