Hey Dr. Berg,
Thank you so much for your informative videos! As you are one of many internet Keto instructors, I carefully try to judge the content of the author and see if they are sincerely teaching or they have a financial motivation. You seem to be sincere, and I appreciate that.
I have been overweight my entire life. In January of 2019, I weighed 339 pounds. In August of last year, I began the Keto diet (at 335#). I am age 60. Since then, I have lost 69 pounds (10 BMI points), and I feel wonderful. My primary care physician took me off my blood pressure, HYPER Thyroid, depression and anxiety meds – all my meds.
Since I began the Keto diet, I have documented all my food and beverage consumption and outputs via exercise (walking 4x/week). I use a carb manager app to keep track of my intake, and a fitness app to track my output. About a month ago, I began intermittent fasting for 16/8 and it really works for me. It is not hard at all. The only hard part is when I overdo my exercising, so then I need to rest for a day or two. I am anxious to find out more how physical stress can increase cortisol and thus stifle fat loss. That is my next investigative topic.
Keep up the great work, and I will keep following you. My goal is another 70 pounds of loss over the next year or so.
