Ingredients

  • 3 ounces steak
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • cups cauliflower
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

For mashed cauliflower

  • Pat 3 ounces steak dry with paper towels. Season with 1 pinch salt and pepper .

  • Cut 1½ cups cauliflower into small florets.
  • Add cauliflower, and 1 teaspoon salt to sauce pot. Then add enough water to fully submerge cauliflower.

  • Boil for about 20 minutes or until cauliflower is soft. Drain water.

  • Pour cauliflower through a colander.
  • Take warm cauliflower and mix together 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream, 1 tablespoon butter , and salt with a whisk.

For Steak

  • Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to oven-safe pan, turn on medium-high heat.
  • Once pan is hot, smoking lightly, gently place steak into hot pan.
  • Let cook on one side for three minutes. For crispy steak, don't move steak.
  • Flip steak over, cook on other side for three more minutes.
  • Finish cooking steak to desired temperature in oven at 350 degrees F / 177 degrees C.
  • Cut steak and serve on top of cauliflower.
