Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • 8 ounces salmon

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in pan on medium heat.

  • Pat salmon dry. Season with salt to taste.
  • Add 8 ounces salmon to pan, continue to cook on medium heat. Make sure pan is hot. To create sear, don't move salmon for 4 to 5 minutes.

  • Cook on other side until desired temp of 145 degrees F / 63 degrees C.
  • Serve with greens or preferred low-carb sides.

Notes

  • Use extra light olive oil or avocado oil when searing salmon at high heat, since both have a high smoke point.
