Ingredients

Rutabaga fries

  • 2 rutabagas large
  • Avocado oil spray
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Fry sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C) and line baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Peel and cut 2 rutabagas into ¼ inch sticks using a pairing knife. Place them in a large bowl.

  • Lightly spray rutabaga sticks with Avocado oil spray and season with 1 teaspoon sea salt and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Mix until evenly coated.

  • Lay rutabaga spears out on lined baking tray and bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  • While rutabaga sticks are baking, mix ½ cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon tomato paste, and ½ teaspoon smoked paprika in a small bowl to make fry sauce.

  • Once rutabaga fries are done baking, remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  • Serve fries hot with fry sauce.
