Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 4-ounce halibut fillets
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 3 tablespoons garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt half of butter with 2 tablespoons olive oil.

  • Add 3 4-ounce halibut fillets and season with 1 pinch salt and 1 pinch pepper. Cook until golden on both sides and done to taste inside; transfer to a plate.

  • To the same pan add 1 pound asparagus, add salt and pepper to taste, and cook until stalks are tender. Add 3 tablespoons garlic cloves, 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, remainder of butter, and1½ tablespoon lemon juice . Remove from heat.
