Preheat oven to 400 degrees F / 204 degrees C.
On baking pan, place two slices of bacon in L shape, and weave rest of bacon slices to form square. Create two squares per burger.
1 pound bacon
Bake 1 pound bacon until crispy, 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove bacon from oven and lay on paper towel to blot grease.
Take 1 pound ground beef and shape into two patties.
Preheat grill or pan to medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to skillet. Season both sides of ground beef patties with ½ teaspoon sea salt and ½ teaspoon black pepper. Grill to your desired temperature.

Cut bacon into four squares to start assembling burger.
Place two bacon squares on plate or serving board. Top each with lettuce, burger patty, sliced tomato. Top burgers with other two bacon squares.
