Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 leaves butterhead lettuce
  • 1 tomato sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F / 204 degrees C.
  • On baking pan, place two slices of bacon in L shape, and weave rest of bacon slices to form square. Create two squares per burger.

  • Bake 1 pound bacon until crispy, 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Remove bacon from oven and lay on paper towel to blot grease.
  • Take 1 pound ground beef and shape into two patties.
  • Preheat grill or pan to medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to skillet. Season both sides of ground beef patties with ½ teaspoon sea salt and ½ teaspoon black pepper. Grill to your desired temperature.

  • Cut bacon into four squares to start assembling burger.
  • Place two bacon squares on plate or serving board. Top each with lettuce, burger patty, sliced tomato. Top burgers with other two bacon squares.
