Preheat oven to 400 degrees F / 204 degrees C.
On a baking pan, place 2 slices of bacon in an L shape, and weave the rest of the bacon slices to form a square. Create 2 squares per burger.

Bake the bacon until crispy, 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove bacon from the oven and lay on a paper towel to blot the grease.
Preheat a grill or pan to medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to skillet. Season both sides of the ground beef patties with ½ teaspoon sea salt and ½ teaspoon black pepper. Grill to your desired temperature.

Cut the bacon into four squares to start to assemble the burger.
Place 2 of the bacon squares on a plate or serving board. Top each with lettuce, a burger patty, sliced tomato, and finish burgers with the other 2 bacon squares.
