Story

By: Suzanne Miron

Good morning! I've joined the healthy keto way on June 1. I immediately stopped my T2DM medication as I didn't want to get hypoglycemic, so glad I did as it's been an adventure since then, but I'm happy to report that I haven't needed it. My glucose is stable! Yay! The nonscale victories have been normal glucose levels, sleeping more soundly, and my moods have been pretty steady. I'm not craving high-carb foods as I have plenty of meals to choose from that are delicious and satisfying. And my husband is very supportive and helpful with maintaining this lifestyle. I am well into week 7 and I've lost 14 pounds. I didn't take any measurements, but I tried on a size 10 swimsuit this morning that I've purchased a few years ago (omg, time flies) and I am going to wear it out on the boat today. I purchased it on sale at the time (it's super cute) thinking that I could wear it NEXT summer- the summers have passed by and I couldn't do it. Today I will! Thank you to Dr Eric Berg and all of you who share in here who made the most sense to me to do a healthy keto and not the old keto where I saw people eating sausages and hunks of cheese. I feel healthy and have learned so much. I can certainly maintain this for my lifetime, it's super easy and delicious. I love it!
