I’m Virginie K, going on 70, live on the central coast, California. Stumbled on to Dr. Berg on YouTube. Decades of struggling with weight, bloating, indigestion, severe headaches. In the last 10 years since I was diagnosed with celiac, I dropped below 200 health improved, no more headaches, but indigestion after eating greens, bloating….never understood why till I heard Dr. Berg! Functional medicine introduced me to keto after 2 yrs. Just wasn’t getting the weight loss although I was in ketosis, my psoriasis reached an all-time high. My whole head was inflamed and my elbows were scaled white bleeding, my weight issues remained the same. Mid-May, when I started with lemon water, then pushed breakfast till noon, after 2 weeks started NOMAD in June tried 48 hrs fast it worked, then every other day if I wanted to eat, would do 12, then 4 pm or when busy I don’t think of food will do OMAD.

Felt great by July, lost 30lbs. The exercise wasn’t on my radar but now with my energy level up I’m walking and my diabetes improved from avg. 150 to 110 it got as low as 67! Amazing my histamine, lupus, sleeplessness all have improved. I’m struggling with psoriasis and I’m told due to the increase of fats and my intestines not breaking down the fat, I don’t really know, but working on my fatty liver and struggling from eating before the 4 hr window between each meal.

I keep thinking of Dr. Berg saying “ every time you eat, you trigger insulin resistance “ yuks. That means waking up at 2 am unable to sleep. I do my wheatgrass in am and love his electrolytes! They do the trick. My weakness is cheese my husband loves cheese he’s also a healthy keto but it weakens me. Sometimes I dream of eating cheese whenever I feel the urge I give in and hate myself. Costco organic Feta is my all-time downfall.

So when that mood hits you to get serious,

1. CLEAR OUT YOUR CUPBOARDS of all those possible fails to your determination to remain on healthy keto!

2. Read all the labels, as a matter of fact, no packages of any kind of dry food. Consume freshly cooked meals, prepare salads, and don’t do anything sweet.

3. You want sweet have a cup of coffee, or iced tea with lemon, still want something sweet? Then take some ice, 10 drops of organic ginger 2 TBS lemon juice, use your favorite stevia or drops of monk fruit in a tall 16 oz glass n pour your club soda! So don’t fool yourself with any fat bombs till you’re halfway in your progress. I’m under 20 lbs to reach my wedding day weight.
