Glenn Savastano's Story

Story

By: Glenn Savastano

Glenn Savastano’s weight-loss journey began when he stood on the scale at a doctor’s office and watched the weights drop into place to record 227 pounds. He went home determined to make a change immediately. Since starting Keto and intermittent fasting in January, heis now down to 169 pounds.

But he didn’t find keto right away. The day after he left the doctor, he started a 3-day military diet. “It’s horrible, if you didn’t know,” said Savastano. “So, I started doing more research.”

That’s when he stumbled upon Dr. Berg’s videos. From them he learned to be mindful of what he put into his body and developed more understanding of the way things actually work so he wasn’t just arbitrarily doing them.

Like many others, Savastano met some resistance to intermittent fasting. And although his wife wasn’t fully supportive of his decision, he did find some support from his coworkers. To start, he ate between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. but after only two days he went to a schedule on which he eats only between 1 and 6 p.m.

“I feel amazing and confident now,” he said.“I have more energy and I’ll never go back.”

Savastano was extremely motivated to lose weight. Taking progress photos throughout the journey kept him going. In addition to intermittent fasting, changing the foods he ate gave him the results he was looking for. He also works out for at least an hour three days a week to complement his efforts in the kitchen.

“To anyone reading my story I would tell them that it’s possible,” he says. “It works and if you want it, you can have it. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change for the better.”
