Allow steak to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

Heat a cast iron skillet on medium-high heat until hot.
Add 1 tablespoon avocado oil to hot skillet and gently drop 3 to 6 ounces steak into pan away from you to prevent splashing. Lower heat to medium and sear steak for 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Turn off heat and move steak onto plate. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
In a separate small skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium-low heat.

Add 2 eggs and reduce heat to low. For sunny side-up eggs, cover with lid and cook for about 2 minutes.
