Preheat oven to 400 degrees F / 204 degrees C and move rack to center position.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place ½ pound beef and ½ pound pork in a medium bowl, break meat into smaller chunks, and combine evenly.

Add remaining ingredients to the meat and mix by hand until just combined. Don’t over-mix to achieve light and tender meatballs.

Lightly oil hands with olive oil and roll meatball mixture into 1.5-inch balls. Space meatballs evenly on baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Once meatballs are done, serve with hot 2 cups marinara sauce and add salt and black pepper to taste.
