Ingredients

  • 2 cups Colby-Jack cheese shredded
  • ¼ teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F /  175 degrees C and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In bowl, mix together shredded 2 cups Colby-Jack cheese, ¼ teaspoon pink Himalayan salt, ¼ teaspoon cumin, ½ teaspoon paprika, ¼ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon chili powder.
2 cups Colby-Jack cheese, ¼ teaspoon pink Himalayan salt, ¼ teaspoon cumin, ½ teaspoon paprika, ¼ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • Spread mixture evenly in thin layer onto baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges start to brown.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for two to three minutes.
  • Once cooled, use pizza roller or knife to cut cheese into squares.
  • Allow cheese squares to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the mixture for a spicier kick before baking.
  • Instead of Colby-Jack, try using mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, or cheddar cheese for a different flavor profile.
  • Use cookie cutters to make fun shapes for a playful twist on traditional squares or triangles.
  • It’s not recommended to use processed shredded cheese or cheese slices as they don’t melt well, creating a rubbery texture and an unappealing, oily separation.
