Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon strips organic

Chocolate sauce

  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • ¼ cup coconut butter
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 2 tablespoons erythritol
  • 5 drops stevia

Instructions

Bacon

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F / 177 degrees C.
  • Use parchment-lined baking sheet and place wire rack on top.
  • Lay 1 pound bacon strips evenly onto wire rack and bake for 25 to 35 minutes.

Chocolate sauce

  • In saucepan, over medium heat, melt ¼ cup coconut oil, ¼ cup coconut butter , 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons erythritol, and 5 drops stevia in saucepan.

  • Dip cooked bacon strips into chocolate mixture, coating them completely.
  • Place dipped bacon onto baking mat or parchment paper. Let cool until chocolate hardens.
  • Serve and enjoy before or after meal.

Notes

  • Depending on your oven, bacon may cook faster or slower. Keep an eye on it after 15 minutes to avoid burning.
  • Don't use white chocolate or milk chocolate, as they contain added sugars that could kick you out of ketosis. 
  • If you prefer dark chocolate over cocoa powder, opt for unsweetened dark chocolate with at least 85 percent cocoa.
  • Add your personal touch with additional toppings such as chopped nuts, shredded unsweetened coconut, or dark chocolate chips.
  • If chocolate becomes too thick, include extra coconut oil until it reaches your desired consistency.
