Robert has a great success story –guys—and a cautionary one as well, reminding us to eat our vegetables when on keto.

But in Thailand, food is everything—and I fell right into their buffet atmosphere and really enjoyed it – and put on weight steadily.

In Thailand, food is everywhere, delicious, and cheap. Buffets full of rice and delicious Asian delicacies.

The good weather encourages a spirit of celebration—food, music, entertainment, buffets full of mussels, lobster, rice, noodles, and all kinds of delicious things to eat.

""

Now there’s no bread over here. And you think this would help keep you leaner but it doesn’t because what we don’t eat in bread, we make up for in rice, noodles, and dumplings. Over time, as I crammed in one lunch meeting after another into an already packed schedule and dinners on the go too, I gradually gained a lot of weight. I topped out at around 250 lbs.

""

In Asia, or Thailand where I live, we don’t have a lot of dark, green leafy vegetables, like Dr. Berg advises. We have mostly lettuces imported from China—but no kale, no collards, no Swiss Chard. We have a LOT of fruit. People love love love fruit over here. Mangos are huge. All fruits are huge. If there’s a lot of carbs in the Asian diet it’s the rice and the fruits!

FOOD, period, in Thailand, is HUGE. It’s like only about food. Food and family.

Over here, people don’t ask “what did you do yesterday?” They ask “where did you eat for lunch yesterday? What did you eat? Where are you going for dinner?” And there’s lots of eating out and food-centered activities.

I cannot stand being heavy. I like my body lean….So I was too heavy and very miserable.

Then, I heard about a book that explained the effect of food upon your blood – your blood sugars and insulin. And first, I just cut out sweets. Nothing else. I was still eating a lot of rice. But I also started running. And I lost about 60 kilos and then plateaued. I still had more weight to lose to reach my optimum weight. But then I discovered keto and IF and Dr. Berg’s program. And I started doing this WITH running. And I lost that last 16 pounds.

And since I’ve really gotten into eating keto, I’ve found I can push myself beyond normal levels—not quite as much as these 60 year olds I run with—I mean they’re amazing. In Thailand, they say that the older you are when you start running, the better, because you can take pain. You can work through pain. You’ve learned to endure hardships and pain. So you can stand the pain of running too.

But since I began full on ketogenesis and the began trimming meals down to a short window of 5 hours every day, I’ve began losing every single bit of fat off my body—but keeping the muscle.

I’ve also noticed I can run longer and harder than I ever have. I don’t need carbs halfway through—no gels, or sugar spiked drinks. I don’t even need the water anymore during a run. Just plain—nothing.

""

I can just keep going, and going, and going. My cognition has improved. Everything has improved.

And I’ve gotten leaner than I’ve ever been. Because I run 50 to 70 kilometers a week, I don’t really lose weight so much as fat and I’m always putting on muscle. But I’m losing ALL the fat on my body and keeping lean muscle and I’ve leaned down even more.

Typically, runners tend to burn off muscle if they’re not careful and keto and IF helps preserve that muscle while you still melt all that fat –so for long distance runners, this is great.

For those of you who haven’t tried the ketogenic diet—don’t fear missing carbohydrates. The first two weeks I did go through some keto flu and I missed my rice a little bit.

Of course, I didn’t have the dark, leafy greens Dr. Berg recommends to avoid the keto side effects that would have helped with this, like Dr. Berg says.

And even the side effects passed quicker than I thought they would.

Because I haven’t been eating enough vegetables, I believe, I’ve developed about a 1 inch gallstone and some fatty liver issues. I may have had these issues from poor eating habits before – I don’t know because I didn’t get this full health profile run until I lost the weight.

My interviewer told me about the Trace Minerals, the Gallbladder Formula, and the Kale Shake, and the Gallbladder Formula at Dr. Berg’s store and I’m going try all of these to get more nutrients in the diet and, hopefully, dissolve that gallstone. That and drink lots of lemon water!

""

Today I do both keto and intermittent fasting and a typical eating day for me looks like this:

Breakfast at noon of bacon, 4 eggs, and one stalk of broccoli

Dinner at 5 pm: something like a salad, seafood, and avocado. Today, for example, I had a mushroom, avocado, and peanut sauce salad.

Other days, I like to eat dried sausages, lettuce, or blood sausage with Spanish eggs and chorizo.

Yesterday I had a Kai-lan shake (similar to kale) with some blueberries and dried sausages. For dinner New Zealand mussels and guacamole. I drink at least 1 liter of water a day mixed with ACV, 3 coke zeros, and 3 espressos—black. On the weekends, I must admit, I do like a little beer or wine. I do buffets on the weekends eating lots of fats and moderate protein with vegetables

But like I said, I’m super lean again, I’m feeling better than I ever have and accomplishing more every day than I did before. I love the program.

I feel like a teenager again! I’ve lost over 100 pounds.

""

Here’s my story:

I used to be a 4-pack-a-day smoker. It was killing me.

When I quit smoking back in 1995, I gained a lot of weight. In fact, I kept gaining weight until I put on about 100 pounds.

I thought, "One thing at a time. Get past the cigarette addiction and then lose the weight."

I quit smoking with the assistance of an acupuncturist who helped me get past the craving that was destroying my life.

But the weight gain was another story. Dr. Berg saved me from the health consequences of obesity!

""

In fact, before I discovered Dr. Berg I had been trying to lose weight for 8 years.

I’m a 64-year-old man and I worked my butt off trying to lose all the weight I gained from giving up smoking. I mean, for 8 years I REALLY, REALLY tried to lose weight.

I’m 5’5” so at 264 pounds, I was morbidly obese and was taking Crestor for high cholesterol (I’m not anymore, by the way).

I was on a diet consisting of two protein meal shake a day and a sensible dinner with one cheat day a week. But even with this eating plan AND daily hour-long workouts on a treadmill, I could not lose one single pound.

Can you believe that? For EIGHT years – NOT one pound?! I cannot believe I didn’t give up sooner. Then I discovered Dr. Berg and sure enough, I started losing 2 pounds a week.

Every single week, I lost TWO pounds, just like he promised.

Hey, I like Dr. Berg. He’s down to earth like me. He simply tells the truth about everything. Plus, he’s well-versed on the subject.

Now, without working out, I’ve lost 100 pounds and I’ve gone from 264 to 156 pounds!

I’ve forwarded so many of Dr. Berg’s videos to my friends—and now I’m helping my friends to get healthy like Dr. Berg helped me.

""

I do both the intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet. I typically fast 16 hours a day and I am NEVER hungry. Never! My wife saw the results and now she’s started the plan and dropped 75 pounds! She still has a way to go but she’ll get there!

When I saw the results I was getting, I really got motivated. I also gave up coffee since Dr. Berg says it can hinder my progress. Instead, I started drinking a green tea concoction, to which I add ACV, coconut oil, and stevia. I love this stuff. Now I’m starting to put on a bit of muscle just from the growth hormone boost!

I believe that now, I have neither insulin resistance nor stress to prevent me from losing weight. I believe this program has helped me bust past any hormones that hold me back from weight loss.

I have never felt so great in my life.

I was always kind of thin growing up. But I wasn’t eating very healthy. I think this unhealthy eating caught up with me when I got pregnant with my first child. My pregnancy made me gain 50 pounds. Even after the baby weight came off, I still retained an extra 30 pounds.

People in my family have all battled with weight issues and I felt like I was catching up with them.

I tried to work out, eat healthier, and get rid of the extra weight but I was pretty much in the dark. I tried different diets but nothing worked.

I cut off gluten and junk food and I tried eating grains. However, I didn’t really have a formal diet. I took a dance class where you worked out with your baby—but I was stuck with all this fat—especially around my belly.

Then, I got pregnant again.

I tried a diet called Whole 30. I got back down to a lower weight but never got back to my initial pre-pregnancy weight. Then I discovered Dr. Berg’s program and videos. I started researching all the things he talked about. I started eliminating all the foods that spiked insulin according to Dr. Berg, such as potatoes and fruit. Sure enough, I started shedding off the extra weight.

From not being able to lose a pound with diet and exercise, I was able to lose thirty pounds in six months post-partum. I have great energy, and I was able to dump the belly fat and inflammation.

I feel great.

I also LOVE making all these keto-friendly recipes and so does my son. He loves Dr. Berg’s Pizza recipe with the cauliflower crust.

In fact, except for eating fruits, my kids are doing the ketogenic diet. I also give my son Dr. Berg’s wheatgrass juice powder. He drinks that instead of juice and love it.

I am always making new keto recipes that I learn from Dr. Berg. One of my favorite things about this diet, in fact, is its versatility.

Today, I cannot believe I used to eat all the grains and sugars that I did.

Today, I only eat one to two meals a day. I’m never hungry. I’m always feeling full and satisfied. I NEVER feel the need to snack.

I’m a teacher, and I don’t get off work till around 3 o’clock. Yet, I have ZERO cravings for even a snack when I get home from school. I never feel faint or weak—I never feel hungry.

I always feel full and energetic – even when I’m nursing my new baby. You think it would be impossible to eat only one to two meals a day while you’re nursing. On the contrary, you have more energy to do the intermittent fasting WHILE you’re nursing!

I don’t miss carbs at all. I love the “spaghetti recipe” with the spaghetti squash and tomato sauce. I never feel like I’m missing out on anything.

I’m so glad I kept all those clothes from before my first pregnancy—because I can wear them today!

I’m down to 120 pounds and I feel and look great! I’m slimmer than I’ve ever been.

My weight problems started when I was around 17 years old. I joined my basketball team and they told me I wasn’t big enough. I was certainly TALL enough—at 6’5” but they wanted more weight on me.

So I started carb loading, as they advised, and sitting on my behind a lot. Lots of t.v. and being a sloth, basically. And of course, I gained massive amounts of weight.

Ever since that carb loading at 17, I began gaining weight steadily.

""

Two years ago, I reached a weight of 320. I got that way through depression and eating to fill a void. I was working as a record exec and I lost my job. This was when I began that period of emotional eating that got me up to a weight of 320.

I had tried keto twice before and it didn’t work.

But with Dr. Berg’s plan I’ve lost weight and kept it off successfully. And I think it’s because Dr. Berg focuses on getting the right nutrition. In the past,

I was influenced too much about calorie restricting. I was still trying to apply that bad information with good information.

He focuses on getting nutrients and veggies—at 28 now, I’m consuming LOTS of vegetables.

And he mentions things that no other keto people do. The importance of nutrients, bitter vegetables to get the fat off the liver—and I drink a kale shake every day that I add even more kale and dark greens too.

I feel great – my fiancé is losing weight too lots of it.

""I’ve lost 100 pounds in 5 months—I mean, it was so easy and I lost it so easy that I actually had to start lifting not to look sick—lost all that weight in five months.

Before, all my weight loss attempts failed. In fact, I started trying to lose weight about May of last year. I kept my diet the same and started exercising – 4 or 5 days a week even and only lost 4 pounds.

Then, October 2nd came. And I got inspired—I wanted this to be MY year I got better and I discovered dr. berg 2 weeks later--- it took some trial runs but I lost 101 pounds

The thing is a large part of it is I’ve been doing the one meal a day about 6 or 7 p.m. keeping carbs between 20 to 25 carbs and I’m able to go all the way until the next day till 6 or 7 and not eat because I’m NEVER hungry. The fat is so satisfying and I do it just like he says—fatty cuts of meat, like bacon and pork belly.

Now I’m up early. I sleep well. I have new hobbies. I read all the time now. I have so many ideas for my life now. I think its because I have more “gas in the tank.” I attribute this to a new lifestyle.

And I tell people that -- this is not a diet—it’s a lifestyle.

I’m getting a lot of people into keto and IF with YouTube. And I shout out Dr. Berg the whole way through. Without a doubt Dr. Berg is the most thorough that I’ve found. The healthiest version of keto that’s around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtyQN9SMJ0Y

Lindsey Echols is a wife and mother who lost over 80 pounds after switching to a keto diet and learning from Dr. Berg’s videos. Since the time when her weight loss journey began in April 2017, she has been able to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Currently she’s off all previous medications.

""“It all started after having two kids back to back,” said Echols. “I also developed postpartum depression on top of a pre-existing thyroid condition. My husband and I would see photos of ourselves and we just weren’t happy with the way we looked. But more importantly, we weren’t happy with the way we felt.”

She recalls feeling bloated and thinking it was normal to have a stomachache after every meal. She lacked energy; she was taking medication for her thyroid and depression. She and her husband decided on a change of diet, not knowing how sweepingly it would change their lives.

“My husband introduced me to Dr. Berg’s videos after we first started keto,” Echols said. “We’d watch them all the time while cooking or hanging out.”

As she learned to heal herself through food, she found that the journey wasn’t so difficult. Once she realized that food doesn’t have to be an emotional habit and it really is just fuel for your body, things became simple.

""Keeping herself accountable was another way Echols made things easier for herself. Her husband, mother, and even some of her coworkers were doing keto and intermittent fasting as Dr. Berg recommends. She even started a Facebook and Instagram account (@ketoandcontour) where she built an online community to keep herself on track.

“I documented pretty much everything online and when I felt like I hit a wall, it was great to look back and see how far I’d come,” said Echols. “I’d share even the small victories like having the confidence to wear a swimsuit in the pool with my kids or the fact that I can now play with them at the park. And it’s fun to go back to old recipes I might have forgotten about. Keeping track of the process really helps.”

""To date she has lost 80 pounds and her husband has lost 65. She has more mental clarity and energy, and clearer skin, and she sleeps better. Echols and her husband have both stopped taking all medications. At first, she thought she wasn’t going to be able to enjoy her food anymore. Now the foods she craves are the foods that are better for her body.

“If I could do anything differently, I would’ve trusted it to work from the beginning,” Echols says. “I expected Dr. Berg’s advice to be like a fad diet but it’s not. He tells you everything you need to know without overcomplicating things. Trust that.”

My story is not just one about weight loss, it’s about how diet has helped me conquer chronic fatigue syndrome.

Basically I was always active even as a child.

As an adult, I did kickboxing and martial arts. And that kept me thin. And I stayed thin and active until I began getting sick somewhere in 2012.

One day after a competition, I woke up with this vertigo. I was so sick and dizzy—I mean, it was very severe dizziness. I thought, “Am I overtraining—did I get hit in the head too hard? Is this the cumulative effect of too much training?”

In fact, that first day—the dizziness was pretty severe, I had thought. But it kept getting worse, not better. In fact, it got worse every day. The following week after this competition, the vertigo was so severe that I went straight to a specialist.

They did MRIs and CT scans and couldn’t find anything. Everything was fine according to the CT scan. I saw even more specialists. I was really in a bad way. I felt like complete garbage to be honest.

As this went on and on, I got so stressed from this unresolved illness that I began developing chronic, debilitating fatigue. I was depressed, exhausted, dizzy, tired, and I just couldn’t function normally.

So, now I have chronic fatigue and vertigo and I couldn’t move for weeks and weeks at a time without feeling exhausted and dizzy.

After about a year of this, I started going back to doctor after doctor. None of them could figure out what was wrong with me. Eventually, one doctor told me he believed I had “chronic fatigue fever.”

In total, I saw some 15 to 20 doctors. They’re like “well, we know it’s not brain damage.” But I’m thinking, “Whatever this is, I feel like I’m dying.”

I’m a visual effects artist, and I work in an animation studio. But although I used to be such an active individual, the only time I felt somewhat good is when I was sitting down and working.

One Christmas I decided—“Hey, I’ll just stay in bed for one week straight and see if that makes me better.” I actually tried that—a whole week of rest!!

Then I thought, “well, maybe I’m lacking in certain nutrients.” I thought, “Maybe I’m over-training and not eating enough. Maybe I’m low on electrolytes. Maybe it’s too many saunas. Maybe the key to overcoming this fatigue and dizziness is FOOD.” This was about the Christmas of 2013 and I’m trying to eat myself back into an energetic state. So I started eating meat, vegetables, carbs, grains—everything, desperate to feel better. But that didn’t work either.

I kept searching my body for signs of a comeback. I’d think certain methods of eating were producing minor results. But they weren’t. I’ve tried everything trying to get better.

I tried a vegan diet. I tried a raw vegan diet. I tried veganism and yoga.

But over time, the raw diet threw me back into chronic fatigue.

So by this time I had tried everything possible from eating myself better, to resting myself better, to a raw diet, and nothing was improving my health.

At this point, I reached a top weight of about 200 pounds. I’m used to being much thinner. I feel better when I’m thinner than that.

To make a long story short—after years and years of not knowing what this vertigo was from, I heard about fasting—how a girl at work had a relative who – even despite being a drinker and a smoker—she had this doctor who was simply amazed at her blood markers after doing fasting.

What she was basically telling me is that fasting was improving her health despite her health-destroying behaviors.

So I tried fasting.

I noticed that after a 24 hour fast that I got this great energy spike.

I figured—“I’ve got to go into research mode on this.” And I did, and the first thing that popped up online was Dr. Berg’s YouTube videos on intermittent fasting.

I thought—he seems so smart, and he explains things so clearly.

I loved that he was so real, down to earth, to the point, and that he tells the truth. So, that’s how I discovered Dr. Berg., which is what put me onto the path toward wellness.

And I started experimenting with fasts—even dry fasts without drinking water. I started trying this one day a week, and started noticing my energy coming back. Then I started trying longer fasts—even five day water fasts.

It took me several days to bounce back from these but after doing these every now and then for several months, I began noticing my health coming back bit by bit.

When I heard him talk about keto and fasting – I said to myself, “this guys know what he’s talking about – that was when I began my journey with keto, IF, and regular intermittent fasting.”

This was about 3 years ago now. Soon after discovering the ketogenic diet combined with intermittent fasting, I began noticing real, significant health improvements in my body and in my ability to train again. In the beginning, I could only do a pull up an several pushups. But almost immediately after beginning keto and intermittent fasting, I began noticing huge improvements in how far I could push myself, training-wise.

Soon, I was able to do pistol squats, lots of pullups. and pretty soon, I was in the best shape I’d ever been it.

Most of all, I was reclaiming my energy and conquering chronic fatigue syndrome.

I also began losing weight, feeling great, and the body fat was just melting, melting, melting.

In total, I’ve lost about 60 pounds.

Today, I’ve almost completely conquered chronic fatigue syndrome.

I know today, if I wouldn’t have discovered keto, IF, and Dr. Berg, I would not be this happy, energetic person who’s able to enjoy life and able to play with the new bab, train, work, live and enjoy life again—with all this newfound energy.

Thank you, Dr. Berg!

Hi, I’m Scott Nelson.

I’ve been an army colonel for 28 years now. Although army workers do stay active, we don’t necessarily eat healthily in the service. As I was getting ready to retire, I looked at it as an opportunity to become"" somebody new. I decided I was tired of being the “old, fat, colonel” and I told my wife, “I might not be able to do anything about getting old—and I certainly cannot change the fact that I’m a colonel—but I can certainly try to do something about being fat. I can make positive changes in that area.

I decided right there and then that I was going to work as hard as I could to lose the 70 pounds I’d put on over the years.

For the first few months of our weight loss journey together, my wife and I just ate right and exercised hard. We also took in all the major food groups – not limiting carbs but lowering our daily calorie intake. We worked out 6, sometimes even 7, days a week.

At first, this worked just fine. After about 9 months, I had lost 35 pounds, but I was still plump and didn’t have the lean body I’d envisioned. I’d hit a plateau which I couldn’t break away from.

I didn’t know what to do. No matter how much I exercised, I was stuck at a weight of about 202 lbs.

I started researching other diets that seemed to promise real, healthy weight loss.

And then I happened to come across an article on the ketogenic diet.

It stood out as being the most effective and the healthiest diet around. I convinced my wife to try keto too and she has really gotten into keto-eating. She loves researching delicious keto recipes to keep us full and satisfied while burning fat.

""All the other benefits you hear that come with ketogenic eating are true. Enhanced mental health, major physical energy boost, better sleep—you can look forward to all these should you decide to try keto.

Now that I have started keto I have lost an additional 27 pounds. I’m down to 177 pounds.

I lost this much weight in just 3 months. Summing it up, I’ve lost a total of 62 pounds.

Before I found keto, I’d often have to use my lunch break to take a nap instead of eating. Right now, I’ve hit my goal weight. For me, doing this is a lifestyle which helps me maintain my goal weight and build muscle.

For us, the ketogenic diet isn’t just a diet. It’s a lifestyle. So, yeah, I’ve been doing keto for 5 to 6 months now. My wife is doing it with me. We are both very excited about Dr. Berg’s program.

Now when I first started losing weight, I was doing mostly habitual, high levels of exercise. No matter how much I worked out though, I wasn’t as lean as I was when I was younger. After everything that I read about the keto diet, I thought, “this sounds like a way to lose weight that is actually good for the body.” I am truly happy about it.

Suddenly I wanted – needed – to lose 35 pounds. I was getting ready to retire and I said to myself: I’m tired of being the old, fat guy. I couldn’t change the old factor, but I could change the part about being fat.

I was never overweight until I hit the age of 18. For some reason, even though I'd been a very active, athletic high school student involved in all kinds of sports like softball and basketball, I started gaining weight at that age.

This was only compounded by pregnancy, when I got pregnant at 21 with my son, gaining 60 pounds. That weight stayed—like 8 or 9 years. But my absolute highest weight ever was 273., maybe 275 at 5'6".

I've lost tons of weight many time and regained it. Typically, I approached diet through tried walking and eating a kind of keto diet—low carb, high protein, fresh fruits and vegetables. So, it wasn't quite keto – more a Mediterranean diet. It took probably right at a year and I lost 199 pounds.

So yeah, I lost weight I did it mainly through calorie counting, walking, and eating clean.

The company I worked for then purchased me a CrossFit and I fell in love with weightlifting.""

Then, I hovered between 200 and 220 and stayed there for 2 and ½ years.

Then I got with a new husband and found out I was expecting, after being told I could never have children again—so this was a pleasant surprise.

With that pregnancy got up to 225 then April of 2016 my mom died unexpectedly and I went into a deep depression. This is a period of time when I cared little for my life or how much I gained or what I ate or my welfare, period. I was at 225 and went up to 260 when she passed. I didn't care about anything then—didn't care what I was doing to myself—that I went on blood pressure meds or that I became pre-diabetic. On January 21st I had a nightmare that I died of a heart attack before I turned 25. So, I'm lying there thinking I've got to do something to change my life.

I heard about keto on a friend's Facebook page—and thought, let's check this out. And THIS is how I discovered Dr. Berg. I checked out his website, his blogs, and the next day some of his videos. This seemed like something that I could do. My fridge was currently stocked with soda pop, carb rich snacks, bread—So my house was not stocked for a keto diet experience.

""But I resolved to do it anyway. I read all the approved lists of keto foods.

The next day I went cold turkey. No pasta, breads, sugars, grains, and my husband and I donated all the carb and sugar filled foods to friends and neighbors.

That's because after just five days my husband saw big changes in my and himself and he's like "hey man—this stuff works! Even if you cannot see it, baby I can." Let's do this. He's been devoted since and it helps me stay motivated.

So, I followed the list and stocked my pantry with keto approved foods. We use all Dr. Berg's recipes and listen to his videos.

Now I have discovered his intermittent fasting techniques. I started to do that every time I'd hit any plateau and that would help me bust right past it.

IF has been a game changer. His knowledge on all this. When he reminds us some people have to track their vegetable carbs and some don't That's what I had to do. Carefully count my vegetable carbs and then I became able to overcome all plateaus.

Now at day 73 I've lost 46 pounds. That's a lot of weight in very little time. And I've lost a total of 54 inches all over my body.

I do hit lulls. Like losing only pounds in March—but losing 16 inches!

Today, my taste buds have changed. My cognition has changed. I completed 4 college courses in 4 weeks.

My memory is better, cognition is better.

""

I'm adding more exercise now with a big focus on nutrition—nutrient density.

For those of you who want to try this—it only took one week for me to get past all withdrawals—caffeine, sugar, bread, all of it.

Yashraj Sillodkar, a resident of India, began his success story with Dr. Berg after some health scares.

Sillodkar suffered from chronic pancreatitis from ages 14 through 21 and then diabetes-related issues starting at age 23. After enduring numerous endoscopy and stenting procedures, he saw his pancreatitis begin to heal.

But in October 2016, he found that his blood sugar was at 190 after fasting and 310 post-meal. “I was very shocked and hurt that after recovering from one disease, I was facing another life-long one,” he explained.

“I cut out sugar and refined flour completely,” he said. That was his first step. He took to the Internet searching for healthy diets and programs; that’s how he found Dr. Berg. “He instantly caught my attention with his short, informative, and relevant videos,” said Sillodkar. “I started following his advice for my diet and exercise routines.”

""He found himself very aligned with Dr. Berg’s advice on intermittent fasting and the keto diet. But this journey didn’t come without challenges.

“The hardest part was giving up all the junk I was addicted to,” Sillodkar said. “Here in India, it's a habit in the family to have sweets after every meal. This was incorporated in my system since childhood. Plus, all the soft drinks, chips, burgers, midnight snacks… To give up all this in your early 20s was a nightmare! But slowly I gave things up one by one and I finally realized that I have only one body so I have to value it the most.”

When asked what he would do differently if he could re-live his weight-loss journey, he explained that when it comes to exercise, he used to only do cardio. Now, he feels strongly about the importance of weight training and has learned a lot from Dr. Berg. “I was losing weight but I still had the same amount of fat,” he said.

Everyone has a unique motivation to embark on a weight loss journey. For Sillodkar, it was his parents. “I didn’t want them to worry,” he said. “I love them so much and their smiles kept me going.”

He has lost 36 kg (79 lbs) and now weighs 72 kg (158 lbs) at 5’10”. “I’m young and I can see my body turning from a blob into a fit and healthy person’s body and I feel great stepping on the scale and looking in the mirror,” he says.

Although Sillodkar is in great shape now, it will always be a work in progress and he’ll continue to look to Dr. Berg for tips and suggestions. “Thank you for your videos, Dr. Berg, and thank you for reading my story!”
