After trying many diets throughout his life, Rafal Pajmel decided to give keto a go when he came across Dr. Berg’s videos on YouTube.
“I followed Dr. Berg’s instructions and gave up all sugars and carbs, including fruits and alcohol,” he said. From the videos, Pajmel learned that keto isn’t just another so-called diet, but instead it is a healthy way of living.
But success didn’t come without its trials.
“The hardest part was the beginning: the first two or three weeks when your body transitions and starts to use ketones as a fuel,” Pajmel said.“ The best part was overall health improvement.”
With keto, Pajmel lost 85 pounds (39 kg) in ten months and a recent blood test shows that his high blood pressure has decreased.
When asked what he might have done differently, he said he would have taken more electrolytes at the start to avoid feeling tired. Still, he didn’t give up.
“Discipline is very important. The bigger the goal the more need to sacrifice,” Pajmel said. And he advises others, “You'll be amazed how good you're going to feel. No more brain fog, no more tiredness during the day, the sex drive improves, etc.”
