During her early twenties, due to health concerns with her hormones and other lifestyle factors, Lalitha Naidu gained 44 pounds (20 kg) in two years. This rapid decline in her overall health signaled the need for a change. And then everything did change, when a friend recommended Dr. Berg’s videos and Naidu found keto.
It was true that she had been overweight for as long as she could remember; even as a kid she was on the heavy side. And although she worked out a lot, Naidu struggled to lose any weight. “I couldn’t stop my sweet cravings,” she said.
Now, a firm understanding of the science behind fat burning has shown her how to eliminate sugar cravings. “Dr. Berg’s videos made so much sense that it kept me going,” Naidu said. She resonated most with his information on intermittent fasting, the importance of electrolytes, and high intensity interval training (HIIT).
Both of her parents were incredibly supportive; her mother would prepare all her keto meals and her father never let her cheat. “They enjoyed seeing my results more than me!” said Naidu, laughing.
Reporting that she found keto to be such an easy process, Naidu said she has never had a diet work for her the way keto has. “I can eat until [I’m] full and not think about calories,” she says. “Now, I [not only] feel great, I feel beautiful from inside.”
With keto, she has lost 46 pounds (21 kg) and both her hormonal conditions have returned to normal as of her last checkup. “Try [keto] yourself first,” says Naidu. “It’s going to do wonders and is worth the effort.”
