Karim Fares heard about Dr. Berg on Instagram before subscribing to his YouTube channel. Before finding keto, Fares had already been on a weight loss journey that included eating a low-calorie diet.
“I learned [about] intermittent fasting and the correct healthy keto diet system from Dr. Berg,” he said. From there, as the saying goes, the rest is history.
After gathering from Dr. Berg’s YouTube videos the basic knowledge that he needed to get started, Fares went ahead with Healthy Keto. He says that looking back, there’s nothing he would have done differently.
Fares’ support system proved to be incredibly important to his success. “My family helped me and the results were a big part [of their] pushing me further.”
Although he went through a tough time during a breakup with his girlfriend, the results and energy gain -- and the fact that he no longer craved carbs -- kept him motivated.
“The feeling is great, completely different,” he said. “It is like you are a new person. The best part is seeing the changes, feeling better, gaining confidence, and [being] proud.”
Since starting keto, Fares has lost 88 pounds (40 kg). “[Don’t] rush the results,” he said. “Step by step you will see the changes coming. Just follow the keto basic healthy diet and keep going.”
