After Julio Hernandez’s father learned that he had a tumor in his ear, he started researching how changing his diet could help. That’s when he found keto and Dr. Berg.
He told his son about the lifestyle and as a result Hernandez decided to join his father on this journey. They kept each other accountable.
Hernandez and his father eliminated all sugars and carbs from their diet – in fact, the hardest part of keto for him was cutting out his favorite potato chips. “I used to love potato chips,” he said. “But the best part was seeing how fast I lost weight once my body was in ketosis.”
Although he wished he had started keto sooner, the progress Hernandez was making pushed him to keep going.
Dr. Berg’s videos were also encouraging. From those videos he learned to always maintain a positive mindset when it comes to health. And he learned how to read the labels on the food that he buys.
In a span of five months, Hernandez lost 100 pounds (45 kg) and has kept them off with keto and exercise.
“Before, I felt slow and tired and now I feel great after getting rid of all that weight,” he said. “I’m faster and stronger than I have ever been.”
He advised, “Adopting a healthy lifestyle is the best gift you can give to yourself. Ketosis will make you feel and look great.”
