Edward Blanchette felt like he was a slave to his appetite. Before finding Dr. Berg and adopting a keto diet, Blanchette would have frozen pizza every night. He’d constantly suffer from infections and illnesses but would see others around him doing basic things without a struggle. Comparing what he was doing to what was successful for others pushed him direction of making some improvements.
When he found Dr. Berg’s videos Blanchette quickly resonated with Dr. Berg’s relaxed but professional information. Tired of being sick and having no energy, Blanchette was able to get rid of old habits and start new, healthier ones. Now he has lost over 170 pounds on keto.
“[Going from] having dinner ready to eat in 15 minutes to spending over an hour each night on cooking dinner was definitely an adjustment,” he explained. “[But I’m] trying different foods I thought I'd never like and broadening my horizons.”
He only wishes he had followed Dr. Berg’s advice sooner. Now he knows that it’s important to eat enough vegetables every day to stay satiated. Blanchette finally has an understanding of what works for his body and why. He credits Dr. Berg with a huge part in his success.
Thanks to keto and with the support of his family, friends, and helpful strangers on Dr. Berg’s Facebook group, Blanchette feels like a completely different person. “Having people to talk to about my struggles, and ask questions to, really helped me keep my mind on the goals,” he says. “My asthma is nearly completely gone and my energy level is amazing every day.”
For Blanchette, it was encouraging to see the progress he was making. Watching his body change was enough to keep him going. “It wasn't easy but with the right support and mindset, you can achieve your goals!” he says.
